In support of our continuing business growth, we have initiated a search for a CNC Machinist to join our established team. We are a fast-paced job shopping looking for level I, II and III Machinists.

RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties assigned as necessary)

  • Use conventional and computer numerical control (CNC) machines (both lathe and mill) and associated systems to complete machining operations. This requires CNC programming and modifying existing CNC programs.
  • Programs CNC lathes, mills, wire and sinker EDM’s
  • Determine interrelated dimensions to close tolerance (location points, clearance, pitch and fit) and lays out operations on work piece(s).
  • Determine raw material requirements to produce desired cuts and finishes on each material.
  • Work from blueprints, work sheets, and drawings. Often with missing or inconclusive information.
  • Re-engineer from a sample part or concept to complete machining request. This may include creating sketches and drawings.
  • Work from shop orders, verbal instructions, drawings, or other sketches to determine the work procedure, machine and tool, and sometimes the material required to complete the machining product.


  • 2-year technical degree or equivalent work experience
  • CAM software experience (GibbsCAM preferred)
  • Ability to read/understand production drawings, bills of material, and material specifications.
  • Capable of setting up and making own fixtures for CNC machines considered a plus.

  • Receive and review Requests for Quotes (RFQ)
  • Using drawings, data, parts lists and related engineering documentation from customers, develops Bill of Materials (BOM) and parts listing
  • Create estimated manufacturing hours for each component determined to be manufactured in-house, including non-recurring costs, if applicable.
  • Create data packs to be sent to suppliers to obtain material, standards, process, and manufacturing costs. On receipt of supplier quotations, evaluates supplier’s prices.

  • Able to identify risks


  • Excellent time management, math, problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proven organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and work well in an environment with competing demands.
  • Professional written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret blueprints and specifications.
  • Must be able to work independently and in a team setting.
  • Experience with E2 Shop Tech software a plus
  • Working knowledge of ISO9001 and AS9100 Quality Management Systems standards

Purchasing Agent

In support of our continuing business growth, we have initiated a search for a Purchasing Agent to join our established team.  This position is responsible for all aspects of purchasing and procurement, including but not limited to: negotiate on behalf of company to lower cost of purchasing, maintain optimum inventory levels and quality of supplies.  You will work in a production environment, engage in continuous productive activity, and must meet requirements within time constraints.


  • Prepares purchase orders of raw materials by verifying specifications and price
  • Purchase raw materials necessary to support the production schedules
  • Monitor inventory items by verifying stock; scheduling delivery
  • Verifies receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered
  • Provides purchasing planning and control information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends
  • Manage relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery and compliance to terms of contracts
  • Coordinates with Operations Manager to optimize production planning through use of alternative resources and approved suppliers
  • Ensures proper approvals are obtained and issues purchase orders to approved suppliers
  • Generates periodic (daily, monthly, quarterly) reports as required, including schedule attainment, machine utilization, scrap rates, etc.
  • Interacts with shop floor management on a daily basis to resolve issues regarding manufacturing efficiencies


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or relevant field; and/or proven experience as a purchasing agent
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to plan, organize and execute multiple tasks in fast pace manufacturing environment
  • Experience in negotiating prices and terms and conditions
  • Must exhibit material knowledge, shop supplies and general knowledge of precision CNC machine shop
  • Experience with AS9100D/ISO 9001 preferred
CMM Operator/Quality Inspector


  • Read and understand blueprints and specifications.
  • Monitor or observe operations to ensure that they meet production standards.
  • Recommend adjustments to the process or assembly to ensure compliance.
  • Inspect materials or products being produced.
  • Accept or reject finished items or those in process.
  • Remove and segregate all products and materials that fail to meet specifications.
  • Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products.
  • Compile and report inspection data.
  • Record the results of inspections and prepare reports.
  • Help in performing root cause analysis of production problems.
  • Calibrate and maintain records of inspection and measuring


  • Must be observant and pay close attention to detail.
  • Takes a logical, methodical approach to work.
  • Familiar with using measuring and inspection equipment, gauges, callipers and dials.
  • Requires tact and discretion when pointing out problems in production.
  • Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.

2-5 years of related Quality Control Inspection in a Manufacturing/CNC Machine Shop environment.

Prior experience with CMM preferred!
